BE A VOLUNTEER
Volunteers are the heart of the Bedford County Players!
Being part of a community theatre doesn’t just mean acting or singing. The theatre is also a place where other artisans can come to share their skills and talent. You don’t have to be a star on stage to shine! Besides the actors on the stage, every production requires a number of behind-the-scenes positions to be successful. Carpenters, painters, anyone that can sew costumes, sound or lighting specialists, and ushers to name just a few. Even if you don’t have a special skill, volunteer anyway – lots of theater jobs just require your time! We all enjoy sharing our knowledge and passing our craftsmanship to others in the community.
Volunteering your talents, skills, and time on a production is not only rewarding, but it may also earn you free tickets to a show.
Volunteering is one of the easiest ways to get involved with a community theater.
Below is a small sampling of volunteer jobs that are an integral part of any production, and if you are skilled in any of these, or other, special talents, we’d love to have you join us!

We know that not everyone wants to step onto the stage and into the spotlight. Donating your time is a great way to build relationships and help keep the arts alive!
As a non-profit 501c3 entity, the BCP needs the support of the community in order to continue producing high-quality arts events in our region. There are many ways to support our theater, from monetary donations, donations of props or clothing items, to volunteer opportunities such as clean-up days. We welcome and appreciate the support of our members and patrons!
