You Can Make a Difference!
As a non-profit 501c3, volunteer organization, the Bedford County Players have been providing high-quality live theatre in our community and entertaining audiences for nearly 40 years. We are proud of the impact that live theatre has had, not only on our talented group of volunteers but also on the lives of those that fill the seats at our shows. As many of you may be aware, ticket sales do not begin to cover all the expenses connected with the production of these shows. Music, scripts, royalties, advertising, lights, makeup, props, costumes, etc., all take an enormous amount of funding. While we have successfully applied for grants, which help to fund some of the expenses necessary to put on our performances, there is still a lot that grants are not able to cover.
It has been a number of years since the tragic day that our beloved theatre was destroyed. Since then, many volunteers of the Bedford County Players, with their never-ending support and love for theatre have worked diligently to continue turning out quality performances for the people of Bedford County to enjoy. The BCP banded together rebuilding sets, acquiring costumes and props, and assisting with numerous building renovation projects.
Raising funds is always a challenge! We greatly appreciate the ongoing support our loyal patrons have shown us by continuing to attend our productions and the enormous amount of generosity we have experienced from our community as well.
